Reading List – Populism, et al
I’ve been attempting
to get a grip on where our society stands in light of the recent trends both in
the U.S. and Europe toward populism, and away from identity politics. Some reading that I’ve done recently in this
vein is as follows with review references.
A consistent trend in
society over the past 50 years has been the cult of “me”, the rush toward
secularism and the move away from traditional values. This has been exacerbated by the information
revolution of the last 30 odd years.
